Maroon 5 has kicked off their much-anticipated M5LV residency at Park MGM’s Dolby Live Theater on Friday evening, and it was a night to remember.

Adam Levine, the lead vocalist of the band, took the time to honor his wife, Behati Prinsloo, and their three children during the opening night of their Las Vegas residency. The nearly two-hour set was filled with electrifying energy and soulful performances of the band’s greatest hits, but Levine’s heartfelt tribute to his family and late manager, Jordan “Jordi” Feldstein, stood out as a highlight of the night.

In the middle of the show’s 20-plus song set, Levine expressed his love for his family, stating that he now performs for them, whereas before he only did it for himself. He shared how much he adored his four family members and how much they mean to him, despite the recent cheating accusations that were made against him.

Levine also paid homage to Jordan “Jordi” Feldstein, who was Maroon 5’s late manager and a close friend of the band. While performing “Memories,” Levine introduced the song as an ode to Feldstein, who passed away at age 40 after suffering a heart attack in 2017. The show also featured a touching video tribute to Feldstein, who was the brother of actors Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein.

Levine recalled how Feldstein had been the band’s champion and protector, believing in their music when nobody else did. He spoke about how much he missed him and how his influence would always be felt in their music.

The opening night of M5LV residency also included a nod to Levine’s parents, who were present at the concert, watching from within the crowd. The show began with the hit songs “Animals” and “One More Night,” and Levine and guitarist James Valentine performed an acoustic version of “She Will Be Loved.” The night ended with the band playing “Sugar” while pink confetti rained down from the ceiling.

Maroon 5’s M5LV shows will run throughout March and April, before picking back up in July and August, giving fans ample opportunity to experience the band’s live performances. This residency promises to be an unforgettable experience, filled with high-energy performances and heartfelt tributes to those who have influenced the band’s journey.
