Los Angeles, CA (January 20, 2023) – Actor, model, and dancer Larsen Thompson has added “musician” to her long list of credits with her debut single, “Roots,” releasing today on all platforms. Yesterday, NYLON premiered the track and stunning visualizer (directed by ThankYouX), saying the song is “all about embracing your imperfections and the traits that make you unique.” Partnering with independent distribution company, AWAL, Larsen will release a total of four singles over the coming months to complete her debut EP releasing on May 26th.

Larsen co-wrote the empowering track with renowned pop singer-songwriter, Eden xo and Tony Rodini. Larsen pulled inspiration right from her personal journal, saying “It’s always fun to get dressed up for a photoshoot or take on a character as an actor, but at the end of the day there’s nothing better than feeling comfortable in your own skin. “Roots” is a message about embracing our individual uniqueness. Sometimes we let our insecurities drive our decisions or setbacks in life, and it’s time we get grounded in who we are and see our imperfections as our perfection.”
