Mariah Carey, the evergreen Queen of Christmas, lit up the 2023 Billboard Music Awards with her seasonal charm.

At 54, Mariah Carey knows how to make an entrance, and she did just that at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. Embracing the festive spirit, Carey stunned everyone with her snow princess-inspired outfit. The ensemble featured a dazzling, zipper-front minidress in pure white, adorned with silver embellishments and cozy, fur-like cuffs that screamed winter elegance.

Complementing her stunning dress, Carey chose sheer tights and stylish knee-high boots, topped with trendy cat-eye sunglasses. Her iconic long locks cascaded in soft curls, adding to her ethereal presence.

Taking center stage at the awards, Carey gave a heartwarming performance of her perennial favorite, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” This marked the song’s debut performance at an awards show, fitting for a track that has become synonymous with the holiday season.

In a grand entrance befitting her royal status in the world of Christmas music, Carey descended to the stage in a ski lift chair, singing against a picturesque backdrop of a retro ski chalet.

Carey shared earlier in an interview with Access that her 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, were set to join her in this festive performance. “I love seeing them step into this space, embracing music and performance. Their enthusiasm is all their own,” she expressed.

Her chart-topping hit has significantly contributed to her record of spending the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This holiday classic alone has enjoyed 12 weeks at the chart’s summit.

Reminiscing about her illustrious career, Carey fondly recalls receiving the artist of the decade award at the Billboard Music Awards in 1999, calling it one of her most cherished memories from any awards show.

With the holiday season rolling in, Carey geared up fans with an Instagram video where she humorously ‘defrosted’ herself, heralding the start of her festive endeavors.

Currently on her “Merry Christmas One and All!” tour, Carey is also teasing new music, keeping fans eagerly anticipating her next big hit.

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards showcased a constellation of stars, with performances from David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, KAROL G, Peso Pluma, and Morgan Wallen, aired from various global locations. The performances and awards are streaming across BBMAs and Billboard social platforms, and at BBMAs.watch on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 8 pm ET, in a refreshed format for fans worldwide.
