A$AP Rocky turns the spotlight on Rihanna’s latest Fenty Skin sensation.
A$AP Rocky, 35, has taken a creative route to showcase Rihanna’s new Fenty Beauty product, the Lux Balm. Remixing his track “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” the rapper shared an Instagram Reel to flaunt the latest addition to the Fenty Skin collection.
In the catchy promotion, Rocky raps, “Flossy, glossy / Nah b—- this ain’t lip gloss / Lux Balm up in my palm / New collab with my baby mom,” shining a spotlight on the cherry-flavored lip balm.
Beauty giant Sephora, a retailer for Fenty Beauty, chimed in with playful approval in the comments, saying, “If he wanted to, he would.”
The post introduces the Lux Balm as a unisex lip care product, infused with Barbados Cherry and other nourishing ingredients like vitamin E and shea butter. It’s designed to rejuvenate dry lips with essential hydration.
The product, vegan and cruelty-free, is priced at $16 on the Fenty Beauty website. It aims to not just hydrate but also soften and plump the lips, making it a versatile addition to any skincare routine. The balm’s composition boasts cherry extracts, cherry seed oil, avocado oil, vitamin E, and a blend of murumuru, mango, cocoa, and shea butter.
Rocky and Rihanna, the power couple behind Fenty Skin, are parents to two boys, RZA, 19 months, and Riot Rose, 5 months. Rocky has previously expressed that parenthood has been their most significant and rewarding collaboration.
In an interview with Complex in November 2023, when asked about a potential collaboration with Rihanna at Puma, where both serve as creative directors, Rocky reflected on their most successful partnership. “What could we team up and just like f—ing smash and go crazy on?” he mused, before proudly stating, “I think we do a real great job at collaborating and making children.”
He concluded, “I think that’s our best creation so far. Nothing’s better than that.”
