Almost 30 years later, and it feels like no time has passed at all!

The iconic duo from the 1994 hit ‘True Lies’, Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, were back together this weekend, and it was a sight for sore eyes. At 64, Curtis is as vibrant as ever, sharing cherished snapshots of the pair on Instagram.

Their paths crossed at a charity event for After-School All-Stars, a nonprofit supporting low-income children. Schwarzenegger, 76 and the former “Governator” of California, joined Curtis, reminiscing on their golden days.

“’Yeah, I’m Ingeborg from Stuttgart’. It’s heartwarming to see friends come together, not just for the good times but for causes that touch their souls,” Curtis captioned her post. The Terminator actor’s affection for the nonprofit is well-known, a sentiment Curtis is equally passionate about.

Curtis donned a traditional German dirndl dress adorned with a floral crown, while Schwarzenegger kept it cool in a black T-shirt and trendy high socks. They were in the esteemed company of chef Hans Rockenwagner, equally impressive and in theme.

It hasn’t been long since their last public appearance together; just a year ago, in October 2022, Schwarzenegger was by Curtis’s side during her hand-and-footprint ceremony at Hollywood’s famed TCL Chinese Theatre.

Their bond, unyielding, was evident when Schwarzenegger praised Curtis as an “exceptional talent” and reminisced about their ‘True Lies’ journey. Schwarzenegger’s annoyance was palpable when he addressed the mislabeling of Curtis as a supporting actress in the film.

Fast-forward to the present, Curtis, speaking to Entertainment Tonight post-ceremony, illuminated the deep respect and affection they hold for each other. The possibility of rekindling their on-screen alliance wasn’t off the table.

“Seeing Arnold again, it’s clear we need another collaboration. I asked him, ‘Why aren’t we back on set yet?’ I’m ringing up James Cameron today,” Curtis enthusiastically shared.

The legacy of ‘True Lies’ lingers, a film that not only raked in over $146 million globally but also saw Curtis clinch a Golden Globe for Best Actress. As the world watched this beloved pair reunite, one can’t help but be transported back to 1994, and wonder – is another epic collaboration on the horizon?
