“This collection is an absolute masterpiece,” commented the icon behind ‘Rhythm Nation’ in praise of Siriano’s Spring 2024 collection.

Janet Jackson has a knack for flaunting fashionable outfits wherever she goes, including the illustrious New York Fashion Week.

Marking her first appearance at NYFW, Jackson graced Christian Siriano’s Spring 2024 Show on Friday dressed in an alluring single-color outfit that resembled wet leather.

Stationed at The Pierre Hotel to witness the designer’s monumental 15th-anniversary presentation, she turned heads in a neck-hugging dress complemented by a coordinating trench coat that flowed to the ground and high-reaching boots. The attire exhibited a uniform, glossy finish and embraced a subdued orange hue.

Accompanying the orange ensemble designed by Siriano, Jackson chose fishnet stockings and golden accessories — including oversized hoop earrings, a broad bracelet, and a bold ring.

Her hair was styled in a glossy, tall ponytail interwoven with braids, coupled with a sparkling, bronzed makeup palette that harmonized with her amber outfit.

The “Rhythm Nation” vocalist, whose appearance contrasted sharply with Siriano’s contemporary “ballerina-themed” line that was dominated by pink and black shades, chronicled her NYFW adventure with numerous posts on Instagram, one of which was an accolade to the designer.

“The display was phenomenal!” she noted, showering praises on the collection. “Christian, your talent has truly shone through this collection, and I couldn’t be prouder!”

“Wishing you a joyous 15th-anniversary!” she captioned the series of snapshots from the event. The 37-year-old fashion mogul responded warmly: “Love you!!”

Taking to social media, Siriano recounted the memorable night, stating, “Tonight was nothing short of spectacular!! The presence of Janet and a surprise act by Sia… Thank you, everyone, for the immense support over these 15 years! Much more to look forward to!”

Adding to the surprises of the night, Sia electrified the celebrity-filled gathering at the anniversary show with an unexpected runway performance.

Clips shared by Jackson on her Instagram story showcased the 47-year-old singer-songwriter mesmerizing the crowd with her popular track “Chandelier,” as models strutted the runway, with some breaking into dance mid-walk.

Jackson also uploaded a photograph where she, Siriano, and Sia, who blended perfectly into the ballet-inspired theme wearing a pastel pink layered gown accentuated with a purple gradient skirt, were captured together.

The “Cheap Thrills” vocalist stayed true to her distinctive style, sporting her trademark oversized wig and a matching pink bow.

For the occasion, Siriano opted for a straightforward yet profound message, donning a black tee that conveyed: “end gun violence.”

The NYFW event also attracted notable personalities including Avril Lavigne, Alicia Silverstone, Quinta Brunson, Kesha, Laverne Cox, Sarah Hyland, Padma Lakshmi, and Laura Linney, who were seated near Jackson during the show.

In a candid conversation with Fashionista behind the scenes, Siriano elucidated how the endorsement from figures like Jackson propelled him in his journey as a designer.

“I ceased creating outfits based on popular demand,” he revealed to the media house. “I transitioned to crafting pieces that resonate with my passion, and it’s heartening to see a receptive audience.”

Siriano emphasized that despite not pleasing everyone, he finds fulfillment when personalities of Janet Jackson’s caliber request his creations. “It’s exhilarating when Janet Jackson reaches out for multiple outfits,” he added.
