On a sunny Monday, Katy Perry, 38, shared how she emerged as the pickleball victor against her 46-year-old fiancé, Orlando Bloom. This all happened during a charity match in Santa Barbara for her Firework Foundation.
Perry took to Instagram to share her exhilaration, “Family pickleball is a tradition, thanks to my mom’s (sometimes over-enthusiastic) love for it. And what’s better than channeling this pickle passion for a noble cause? ⚡.”
The post further read, “Our very first Light Up The Court pickleball challenge, under @fireworkfoundation’s banner, aimed to raise funds for scholarships and arts-focused programs for underprivileged kids. And just a little side note – I kind of showed off by beating @OrlandoBloom. Just saying 😈🙃.”
As a judge on American Idol, Perry knows the importance of appreciation. She took a moment to express gratitude for every individual and sponsor who contributed to the event’s success and the foundation’s vision. Co-founded with her sister Angela Hudson, Perry’s primary objective is to “offer young minds a space to rediscover their childhood.”

Perry and Bloom’s enchanting love story began in 2016 post the Golden Globes. They experienced a brief pause in 2017, only to rekindle and get engaged by 2019. Bloom chose Valentine’s Day to pop the question with a captivating flower-themed diamond ring.
The duo then welcomed Daisy Dove, their daughter, in August 2020. Bloom also shares the joys of fatherhood with his 12-year-old son Flynn from his previous marriage to supermodel Miranda Kerr.
