Celebrity hairstylist Danielle Priano dishes exclusively to us about crafting Lindsay Lohan’s standout hairstyle for the Mean Girls musical movie premiere.

Lindsay Lohan, the original Cady Heron, made a stunning appearance at the premiere of the Mean Girls musical movie on January 8. She dazzled everyone with her glamorous look, complete with a chic Alexandre Vauthier gown and elegant, wavy hairstyle crafted by Danielle Priano.

Priano, feeling exhilarated to work with Lohan for this major event, tells us, “It’s always exciting to work with Lindsay, but styling her for such a landmark occasion was particularly special.”

A die-hard fan of the classic Mean Girls film, Priano aimed to infuse a bit of Cady Heron’s spirit into Lohan’s hairstyle. “We wanted to capture a blend of Hollywood glamour with a modern twist, echoing the sophistication that Lindsay has embraced over the years. It’s a subtle homage to Cady’s growth throughout the film,” Priano explains.

The hairstyle was a work of art, requiring careful steps to achieve the perfect look. Priano started by gently detangling Lohan’s damp hair, then applied SexyHair Big Altitude Mousse for volume, followed by blow-drying with the Mermade Hair Blow Dry Brush for lift at the roots.

To add volume, Priano incorporated Hidden Crown Seamless Clip-in extensions and used SexyHair Powder Play for texture. She created uniform waves with the Mermade Hair OG Pro Waver, then softened them for a more natural feel.

“A final spritz of SexyHair Spray and Stay hairspray kept the style flawless,” Priano adds. “And for that red carpet flair, we tucked one side behind Lindsay’s ear.”

The entire styling process took around two hours, filled with laughter and excitement. “The atmosphere was buzzing with anticipation and joy as we prepped Lindsay for her big moment,” Priano recalls.

Upon seeing Lohan ready in her dress, Priano and her team were thrilled with the outcome. “Our reaction was instantaneous – we knew we had nailed it,” she says with pride.

The Mean Girls musical movie premiere also attracted the film’s creator, Tina Fey, new cast members like Christopher Briney, Reneé Rapp, and Angourie Rice, and notable fans such as Megan Thee Stallion, all celebrating the iconic film’s latest adaptation.
