This Monday on Instagram, the 54-year-old artist transformed into the legendary Jessica Rabbit from Disney’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And boy, did she nail it with that shimmering red dress and fiery red wig!
The snapshots she shared showcased her donning Jessica’s unforgettable glitzy red outfit, paired with the violet elbow-length gloves and those shimmering red heels — reminiscent of the unforgettable performance of “Why Don’t You Do Right” from the 1988 classic.
Getting into character, Mariah even replicated Jessica’s iconic stances and added a touch of glittery neutral eye shadow, topped off with a bold red lip.
“Happy Halloween! 🎃,” Mariah, known for her global hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, captioned. Not forgetting her Christmas spirit, she cheekily added the hashtag “not yet”, teasing the eagerly awaited holiday season.
Earlier in October, the self-dubbed “Christmas Queen” hinted she’s already in the festive mood, featuring in The Children’s Place’s new holiday campaign, alongside her adorable 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
“Working with The Children’s Place is amazing. They’re huge in the children’s apparel world, and I’ve admired them for ages,” she excitedly shared with PEOPLE on Oct.17 about this venture. “And hey, everyone knows my love for the holiday season, especially Christmas.”
She expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming holiday time with her children but kept the exact details under wraps.
“My cards are always close to my chest till everything’s confirmed,” she remarked. “I’ve got this little tradition where I unveil the holiday vibe when it feels right. Like, ‘Yep, it’s officially the season now.'”
Giving a sneak peek into her family’s holiday spirit, Mariah and her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, “do holidaying a tad differently,” but she assures, “It’s always epic.”
She playfully revealed, “We’ve got quirks like frolicking in the snow and then diving into hot tubs. Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea, but we’re a bit of thrill-seekers,” the Grammy laureate remarked.
