Sergey Brin

How rich is Sergey Brin?

Together with Larry Page, Sergey Brin, who originally comes from Moscow but is now a US citizen, made history. Because the former students of the elite Stanford University in the USA founded Google together and started a real revolution of the internet. The entrepreneur was President of Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc. between 2015 and 2019. In this role, too, his madness continued to grow. Sergey Brin has an estimated net worth of 72.3 billion euros.

Incidentally, Alphabet Inc. is the parent company, to which other companies besides Google belong. Calico, DeepMind, Waymo, Wing and many more are companies where Sergey Brin makes a lot of money.

Even if the two children with ex-wife Anne Wojcicki had to cope with their parents’ divorce, the Brin offspring, who, however, have their mother’s surname, will not lack for anything in the future, at least financially. After all, as a multi-billionaire, her father is regularly in the top 15 of the ranking of the richest people in the world. Brin could even be seen on the big screen. In 2013 he had an appearance in the film “Prakti.com”, in which Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson played the leading roles. Much of the film was even split at Google’s California headquarters. Meanwhile, Google has become an important part of general pop culture, and you could live without it. I don’t even imagine Google anymore.

The life of the multiple billionaires

Sergey Brin’s parentage has a lot to do with his success today. He inherited some of his talents as a computer scientist from his father, who worked as a mathematician. Also, both parents of the Google co-founder were of Jewish descent. Due to the widespread anti-Semitism in the Soviet Union, this quickly became a problem for the family, so that the Brins applied for an exit visa when Sergey was just 5 years old. Although some harassment accompanied the application’s approval, it was approved the following year so that the emigration to the United States of America could take place in May 1979.

Sergey Brin at Stanford University

In Maryland, Sergey Brin attended a Montessori school and also received private lessons from his father. This was meanwhile employed at the University of Maryland as a professor of mathematics. The son should also begin his studies at the same university. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in May 1993 with “Honors”. His excellent academic performance even resulted in his receiving a graduate scholarship, allowing him to study computer science at Standford University thanks to financial support from the National Science Foundation.

Like Google co-founder Larry Page, Sergey Brin only started his doctorate at one of the world’s most famous universities but did not complete it. The two men just got caught up in their careers. Because they quickly realized how promising the idea was for Google, so they wanted to act as quickly as possible. There was no more time for a doctorate. OK then. Otherwise, the two would probably not be among the richest people in the world today. It was only the IPO that turned Brin and Page into multi-billionaires. By the way, Sergey Brin is also doing his part to improve the world. Because he is one of the founders of the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences, this is one of the awards that is currently associated with one of the world’s highest awards.
