Last week, the 33-year-old “Boyfriend” crooner dropped two bombshells. He’s not only off the market, but he’s also about to be a dad! Schmidt and his beloved, Mica von Turkovich, spread their joy in a touching Instagram post.
“Thankful for my baby ♥️,” Schmidt expressed, sharing a tender black and white snapshot from their wedding day. The picture captured the newlyweds lounging on an outdoor sofa, surrounded by elegant floral arrangements.
Earlier in a November 2 post, Schmidt hinted at their nuptials.
“Thanks for the birthday love, everyone 🙂 Yes, I’m 33 but still rocking my 23-year-old vibes. Life’s amazing, especially with my gorgeous wife @mica_chu by my side,” he wrote alongside an Instagram video.
The pregnancy announcement was equally sweet and heartfelt.
“Thankful for our baby 🤍,” read the caption of another post, set to The Carpenters’ “They Long to Be (Close to You).” The video showed von Turkovich in a sunny field, her pregnancy glow evident as she sported a cropped long-sleeved shirt.
The love story of Schmidt and von Turkovich began in 2012, with their relationship starting in March 2015.
In a romantic twist, Schmidt proposed at Radio City Music Hall in June 2022 – the very place where their paths first crossed. The proposal, witnessed by fellow Big Time Rush members and family, was a full-circle moment.
